Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department setting
Manage patient assignments with ratios that may extend to 1:5 or beyond during surge periods
Float within skillset as needed to support departmental staffing needs
Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
Demonstrate comfort and readiness to care for patients requiring specialized exams, including SANE-related assessments
Required Qualifications
Valid New York State RN License (candidates who have at least applied for licensure may be considered)
Minimum 3 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
TNCC or ATCN — must be in hand prior to start
NIH Stroke Scale certification required
Proficiency in Epic EMR required
Must be willing to float within skillset
Candidates must live within 75 miles of the facility to be considered a local; locals are accepted at a local rate
Availability to work either Christmas Eve/Day or New Year's Eve/Day is expected; specific holiday scheduling will be confirmed closer to December
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel nursing experience preferred
SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) experience or comfort with SANE patient care is a plus
Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department
