Plans are created in accordance with unit standards and based on patient and family needs. They implement the plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures. Plans of care are modified based on continuous evaluation. They take responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and/or correcting safety hazards. They communicate with others directly and in private when necessary to resolve issues. They offer constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers. They confer with colleagues to expand their knowledge base. They identify their own learning needs and take initiative to address them. They fulfill all requirements of departmental competencies.
