Job Summary

Join a dedicated nursing team at a Critical Access Hospital in Ida Grove, Iowa. This role focuses on providing comprehensive medical-surgical care to a diverse patient population, including adults and pediatrics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic environment, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
• Provide skilled nursing care for adult and pediatric medical-surgical patients, including pre- and post-operative care, chronic disease management, and acute illness support.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, lab results, and other diagnostic data, reporting changes to the medical team promptly.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team rounds and collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff, adhering to all hospital policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical-Surgical setting.
• Demonstrated ability to care for both adult and pediatric patient populations.
• Ability to adapt to the varied demands and broad scope of practice in a Critical Access Hospital setting.
