Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, 13-week contract assignment at a Critical Access Hospital in Ida Grove, Iowa. This role is essential for providing comprehensive nursing care across various patient populations, including adult and pediatric medical-surgical patients, as well as those requiring telemetry monitoring.
The successful candidate will primarily cover leaves of absence, requiring flexibility and the ability to seamlessly integrate into existing care teams. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for adult and pediatric patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions.
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret telemetry readings.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and revise individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records.
- Respond to emergent situations and provide appropriate interventions.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Experience in Med-Surg and Telemetry nursing.
- Ability to work effectively in a Critical Access Hospital setting.
