Description:
Travelers are expected to float throughout the designated zone.
Each zone covers a 60-mile radius from the zone's center.
The traveler is responsible for obtaining housing that makes this feasible.
Week of orientation requires clinicians to be present in the state.
Emergency department handles a mix of patients, averaging around 40 per day.
Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:4-5 based on acuity levels.
Charge nurses do take on assignments with responsibilities.
Technicians support unit secretary tasks and assist nurses on the floor.
Respiratory therapy is available 24/7 for treatments and procedures.
Registered Nurses are required to read and interpret telemetry strips.
Point of care testing will be performed by trained staff members.
Schedules are created based on departmental needs, including weekends and holidays.
The facility has a cancellation policy in place for shifts.
The charting system used is EPIC.
No BSN is required for this position.
