Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years in Emergency Department in a level 1 or 2 trauma facility License: Current RN License eligible for licensure in the state Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: 1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 trauma center or 2 years in a Level 2 trauma facility. This must be indicated on the resume. Experience in a busy urban trauma center. Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with relevant mission, values, and service standards. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice. Demonstrated skill in human relations and communications is required. Must have demonstrated clinical expertise in their area of responsibility. Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs.
