The department features an L-shaped design layout consisting of 40 rooms. It includes 23 non-monitored single rooms and 13 monitored rooms. The monitored rooms can accommodate 2 patients if needed. There are also 4 resuscitation bays for critical trauma and medical patients. A Team Nursing approach is utilized for patient care to provide seamless flow between care providers. Emergency Nursing skills are essential. Experience with EPIC charting and Pyxis medication administration is required. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4. Scrubs in Caribbean Blue are the dress code. Mandatory attendance for all scheduled orientation days is required. This position requires the ability to adapt to various situations in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be prepared for the challenges that come with emergency nursing.
