Job Opportunity – Emergency Room RN – Texas

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: West Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with self-scheduling flexibility; block schedules approved but not required; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period; no on-call required

  • Epic charting system with 36 hours of paid orientation
  • Daily census of approximately 136 visits with high acuity case mix including trauma, stroke, cardiac, and respiratory emergencies
  • Robust interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
Requirements:
  • Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (required)
  • Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
  • Experience with 1:3 patient ratios in an acute care setting
  • Proficiency with Epic or similar electronic medical record systems
  • Skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, central line management, IV vasopressors, dysrhythmia management, triage, and stroke/CVA protocols
  • Experience in community hospital, trauma center, or LTAC settings preferred
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
  • Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
