Job Opportunity – Emergency Room RN – Texas

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with self-scheduling flexibility; block schedules approved but not required; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period; no on-call required

- Daily census of approximately 136 visits with high acuity case mix including trauma, stroke, cardiac, and respiratory emergencies
- Robust interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (required)
- Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- Experience with 1:3 patient ratios in an acute care setting
- Proficiency with Epic or similar electronic medical record systems
- Skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, central line management, IV vasopressors, dysrhythmia management, triage, and stroke/CVA protocols
- Experience in community hospital, trauma center, or LTAC settings preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
