Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Texas

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:3 patient ratios; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period; block scheduling available but not required; 36 hours of orientation provided

  • Comprehensive stroke and STEMI facility with robust interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
  • Epic charting system in use; no floating between units required
  • Common patient presentations include stroke, trauma, cardiac conditions, respiratory emergencies, and general ER complaints

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
  • Experience with 1:3 patient ratios preferred
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Proficiency in BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, central line management, stroke protocols, triage, and dysrhythmia management
  • Community hospital and Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
