Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: Not specified License: Active RN Licensure Certifications: - BLS - ACLS - PALS - NIHSS - Either TNCC or TNS Must-Have: RN Education Verification Description: We are looking for an experienced Emergency Room Nurse for this position. Candidates must possess an active RN licensure. BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS certifications are required. The schedule includes day shifts with rotating weekends from 6 AM to 6 PM, and some shifts from 8 AM to 8 PM as needed. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures, and standards of care. Documents according to standards of care. Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the physician and clinic policy including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise and guidance to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care. Employs critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the chain of command. Participates in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities and decisions, and the peer review process. Holiday coverage may be required.
