The average daily census is 130-150 patients. There are 21 rooms and 31 beds available. Patient age groups range from neonates to geriatrics. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. The medication system used is Omnicell. Documentation is performed using Cerner. This facility cares for complex medical patients across all age groups. Candidates must hold certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS. Nursing skills required include managing BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, and central line care/management. Experience in pediatric emergency care is also necessary. Candidates must be able to interpret dysrhythmias and manage IVs effectively. This position requires knowledge of isolation precautions and triage. Preferred skills include procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
