Travel experience preferred, but not necessary. Description: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting. Required certifications include NIH, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS. No trauma level one experience is necessary. Candidates must have a KY or compact license. Travel experience is preferred, but not mandatory. First-time travelers with level 1 ER experience are considered. Requests for time off longer than one week are not approved unless special circumstances arise. Local travelers within a 100-mile radius are not accepted. Candidates may be required to float within the hospital or to nearby facilities. Compliance requirements include BLS, ACLS, ENPC (PALS can be used to meet this requirement), TNCC, NIHSS, and other competency exams. Modules are billable, average 6.5 hours, and are completed during orientation and annually. Candidates should be aware of rehire eligibility policies if they have previously worked in the health system.
