Job Title: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience and at least 1 year of Psychiatric experience.
License: Valid nursing license in hand.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI (in hand or willing to obtain during compliance).
Must-Have:
- Experience with electronic charting, specifically Epic.
- Behavioral health experience in an emergency department setting.
Description:
The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse will work nights in an emergency department setting.
The role requires assessing and managing patients experiencing mental or behavioral health crises.
Candidates must demonstrate skills in de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention, and managing violent behavior.
Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and maintaining patient safety.
Nurses will work with patients presenting with a range of diagnoses including psychiatric evaluations and medical emergencies.
Staffing ratios will be approximately 1:4.
Participation in weekend shifts is expected every other weekend.
Candidates should possess strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
Flu vaccination is required with no exemptions accepted.
Candidates will be required to pass an EKG/Telemetry exam onsite.
Travelers may have up to three absences per 13-week contract, and attendance will be monitored.
