Job Summary
Kauaʻi Veterans Memorial Hospital, located in Waimea on the beautiful island of Kauaʻi, Hawaii, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in our Long-Term Care unit. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to residents within a supportive community hospital setting.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, focusing on comprehensive care delivery, medication management, and continuous assessment to ensure optimal resident outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and high-quality nursing care to residents in the Long-Term Care unit.
- Administer medications accurately and safely according to established protocols.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor resident conditions.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive electronic medical records and documentation.
- Coordinate care effectively with physicians, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for all residents.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) settings.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse patient caseload.
