The department has 101 beds, with typical patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds. Technicians and unit clerks are available during both day and night shifts. Type of equipment includes Baxter pumps and GE monitors. Documentation is managed through a Cerner system. Scheduling requires availability for every other weekend, with an emphasis on meeting the department's needs. There is no floating outside of the emergency department, but staff must be open to floating within different sections of the emergency department. Patient experience protocols include AIDET and respectful behavior towards all patients. Information must be continuously updated throughout the patient's visit. The successful candidate will be part of a team known for its collaborative environment and welcoming demeanor.
