# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Kansas**Start Date:** November 3, 2026 **Location:** Wichita, Kansas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM, travel assignment Highlights:
- 52-bed Emergency Department with a well-staffed, collaborative team environment
- Average patient ratio of 3:1; lower acuity cases up to 5:1
- State-of-the-art Alaris IV equipment and Meditech EMR system
- Comprehensive patient care including IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric emergencies
- Supportive staffing model with dedicated charge nurse, unit clerk, physician, and midlevel provider per pod
- Team nursing approach for pediatric patients
Requirements:
- Active Kansas RN license or ability to obtain
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- Previous travel assignment experience or experience working in large facility environments
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency setting
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
- ENPC certification preferred
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
