Travel RN – Emergency Department Facility Information

Hospital: Medical City Weatherford
Location: Weatherford, TX
Shift Type: Night Shift
Shift Time: Start Time: 07:00 PM End Time: 07:00 AM
Duration: 13 Weeks
Unit: Emergency Department
Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
Documentation: Meditech

Assignment Details
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks

  • Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

  • Schedule: Variable

  • Weekend: Every other weekend

  • Call: No

  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

  • Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience

  • Floating: As needed

Unit Overview
  • Patient Ratio: 4:1

  • Staffing: All RNs, with techs positioned in the lobby and unit secretary support

  • Equipment: Standard ED equipment

  • Trauma Level: Level IV Trauma Center

  • Stroke Designation: Primary Stroke Center

  • Cardiac Services: Chest Pain Accredited with 24/7 PCI/STEMI capability

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience

  • Active Texas RN License

    • Temporary licenses will not be accepted

  • Strong emergency/critical-care assessment skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ED environment

Required Certifications
  • BLS
  • Registered Nurse License ​
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
  • ACLS
  • PALS or ENPC
  • TNCC
  • NIHSS
Preferred Skills
  • Previous Meditech experience

  • Experience in trauma, stroke, and cardiac emergency care

  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients in a high-acuity environment

Typical Procedures & Clinical Experience
  • Standard Emergency Department procedures

  • Level IV trauma care

  • Stroke evaluation and management

  • Chest pain and STEMI management

  • 24/7 PCI-related emergency cardiac care

  • Rapid assessment and stabilization of emergency patients

  • Experienced and confident in emergency nursing

  • Able to prioritize care in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong in critical thinking and rapid assessment

  • Comfortable working with a 4:1 patient ratio

  • Flexible with floating as needed

  • A strong team player with excellent communication skills
