The Emergency Department has 50 beds and a staff of 68. The day shift typically consists of 7-8 Registered Nurses and 2-3 EMTs/Medics. The patient-to-nurse ratio is approximately 1:4 or 1:5, although this is an estimate and not guaranteed. The unit is equipped with EKGs, cardiac monitors, and blood glucose monitors. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates must possess strong patient care experience and communication skills with both staff and providers. An energetic and collaborative personality is preferred for this role. The role includes performing all essential Emergency Department care needs. Additional preference may be given to candidates with Level 1 Trauma experience or stroke experience.
