Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Medicine. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients in a high-paced emergency environment. The schedule includes working three weekends out of six weeks. Block scheduling is approved but not mandatory. The hospital is a Level II Trauma Center with a focus on comprehensive stroke and STEMI cases. Patient demographics include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 136 patients with a total of 42 rooms. The department is supported by various interdisciplinary services including respiratory, social services, and pharmacy. Nurses must adhere to the dress code of solid navy blue attire. Additional skills required include management of ventilated patients, IV vasopressors, and isolation precautions. There is no floating between units or call requirements for this position. Mandatory holiday coverage includes three out of five key holidays.
