Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse (Oncology Pod) – Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour day/night rotating shifts or 12-hour nights; patient ratio of 1:4; floating required within department
Highlights:
- Work in a specialized Oncology Pod within the Emergency Department – one of only a few dedicated oncology emergency care settings nationwide
- Care for diverse patient populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with complex oncology-related emergencies
- 15-room, 19-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
- Epic electronic medical record system utilized throughout the facility
- 14-week contract with potential for 7 consecutive days off at facility discretion
- 76 hours of comprehensive orientation to ensure successful onboarding
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Department experience required
- 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- Oncology experience preferred but not required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
- Skills in blood product administration, central line management, ventilated patient care, dysrhythmia interpretation, BiPAP/CPAP management, and emergency medications
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director
- Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
