Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, 4:1 patient ratio, caring for all age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Highlights:

  • Emergency Department Holding/Observation unit with 32-bed capacity and daily census of 32 patients
  • Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required in ER, ER Holding, or Medical-Surgical/Telemetry settings
  • First-time travelers welcome with appropriate experience and credentials
  • Travel assignment with potential for extension based on performance and facility needs

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of application)
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Department, ER Holding, or Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
  • Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
  • Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor
  • Experience with cardiac telemetry, ventilated patients, arterial line management, and chest tube management preferred
  • Proficiency in IV management, blood product administration, dysrhythmia interpretation, and drip titration
