Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS ACLS PALS or ENPC CPI (to be obtained within 30 days) TNCC preferred Must-Have: 2-3 years of ED experience Skills in performing moderate sedation, central line placement, chest tube placement, IV insertion, lab draws, point-of-care testing, EKGs, and respiratory treatments Description: This position involves working in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The unit has a total of 19 beds, including additional spaces for patient care. The staff-to-patient ratio is 1:5. You will work alongside an ED tech and other specialized medical personnel. The department is equipped with advanced technology including GE monitors, Lucas 3 devices, Glidescope, and Level 1 infusers. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation in the Meditech system. Weekend and holiday shifts will be required as part of the schedule. Floating to other areas is not a common practice for this unit. Patient experience is a key priority, which includes the use of whiteboards, keeping patients informed, and ensuring that patients and their families feel cared for. Dress code requires dark blue scrubs. The unit has received awards for stroke certification and is classified as a trauma level 3 center.
