ACLS and BLS are required. Description: This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The role is for 13 weeks with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The unit has a total of 32 beds and a staff of 117. Patient ratios are typically 4:1. Staffing consists of certified nursing coordinators, registered nurses, medics, and patient care technicians. Common procedures performed include lumbar punctures, intubations, thrombolytic therapy, laceration repairs, suture removals, and splinting. Candidates should be great team players and able to anticipate the needs of patients and the department. The dress code consists of navy blue scrubs and a navy blue zip-up sweater. Pull-over sweatshirts are not acceptable attire. This role offers the opportunity to work with new equipment and technology within an experienced staff team. This position does not require on-call availability. Weekend shifts are part of the schedule.
