Description:
Position requires the ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:4-5.
Weekends and holiday coverage is required every other week.
Float between units is not required.
On-call duty is not required.
The facility is a trauma level 1 teaching hospital with a total of 228 staffed beds.
The nursing unit will support adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
Daily patient census ranges from 129 to 160.
The emergency department has 19 rooms and can accommodate 30 beds.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
Nursing tasks include central line care and management, interpretations of dysrhythmias, IV management, and triage.
Candidates will need to possess experience in a level I trauma center.
Travel experience is required.
Candidates will float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby.
Return staff must be gone for a minimum of one year before reapplying.
