Two years of experience in a hospital setting is required. Candidates must have an active Compact License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Unit has 18 beds and a patient ratio of 5:1. Variable staffing model is employed with unit secretaries and techs available. The type of equipment used includes GE documentation systems. Scheduling requirements consist of 36 hours per week. Floating to other areas is required. Patient experience requirements are hospital-specific. The unit performs various advanced procedures that enhance the skill set of nursing staff. Tenured staff are committed to growing and developing new nurses.
