Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in ER Holding.
The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Previous charge experience is required.
Candidates must be proficient in managing patient ratios of 3:1.
Experience with charting systems is preferred.
Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS are mandatory.
Responsibilities include accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, and BiPAP/CPAP management.
Nurses will be responsible for blood product administration and cardiac telemetry.
Care of ventilated patients and management of central lines and chest tubes is essential.
The nurse will also provide continuous bladder irrigation and care for CVA patients.
Additional duties include managing IV insulin protocols and cardiac drips without titration.
The position requires skills in tracheostomy care, wound care, and the use of rapid response or code teams.
The patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Day-to-day operations will support interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy and pharmacy services.
The unit’s daily census is approximately 32 patients.
Candidates must be committed and responsive during the credentialing process.
