Charge Nurse - Registered Nurse (RN) - Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)/Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to serve as a Charge Nurse in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Long Term Care (LTC) setting in Bangor, Maine. This pivotal role involves coordinating and directing comprehensive nursing care for an assigned patient and resident population, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
The Charge Nurse will assume full responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient/resident care, while also providing leadership and serving as a vital resource for the unit. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to organizational goals, support quality management initiatives, and provide administrative oversight in the absence of the Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and direct total nursing care for an assigned group of residents/patients.
- Conduct thorough patient/resident assessments, develop individualized care plans, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
- Provide leadership and guidance to ancillary nursing staff and collaborate effectively with other interdisciplinary team members.
- Participate actively in patient/resident and family education regarding care plans and health management.
- Serve as a unit resource, assisting with quality management coordination and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative backup support to the unit in the absence of the Director.
- Maintain strict patient/resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with facility standards.
- Ensure all nursing care is delivered in compliance with facility/unit and department policies, procedures, and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
