Description:
Unit has 23 beds.
Patient ratios are 4:1.
All nurses are registered nurses.
Techs are located at the lobby, with administrative support provided.
Standard emergency department equipment is utilized.
Documentation system is Meditech.
Familiarity with Meditech is preferred.
Floating policy applies as needed.
Standard procedures are performed within the unit.
The unit operates as a Level IV trauma center.
It is a primary stroke center and accredited for chest pain with PCI (STEMI 24/7).
Scrub color for registered nurses is royal blue.
Nail policy requires clean and healthy nails with no artificial nails or gel.
Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors.
Facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed.
Hair longer than shoulder length must be pulled back while working.
Body art should be covered whenever possible.
Visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited.
Shoes must be constructed of a non-absorbent material with slip-resistant soles.
Breathable mesh athletic shoes with a leather or man-made upper are not permitted.
Attendance policies will be adhered to consistently.
