Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,081 per week in Austin, TX

Job Opportunity – Emergency Room RN – Austin, Texas

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Austin, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week contract, 12-hour shifts (9:00 AM - 9:00 PM), rotating weekends, no on-call requirements

Highlights:

• High-volume Emergency Department with 48 private rooms, fast track area, and dedicated behavioral health unit
• Patient ratios: 1:4 ED, 1:3 cardiac/trauma, 1:5 behavioral health
• MEDITECH EMR system with modern equipment including Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers
• Comprehensive case mix including trauma, cardiac monitoring, airway support, behavioral health, and critical care procedures
• Collaborative team environment with established charge nurse support, PCTs, paramedics, and LVNs on every shift
• Active unit-based council and social committee supporting staff engagement and professional development

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Texas (or ability to obtain)
• ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Emergency department experience strongly preferred
• CPI, trauma experience, and holding inpatient experience preferred
• MEDITECH EMR experience a plus
• Strong multitasking abilities with team-oriented, self-starter attitude
