Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2+ Years License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS before starting date BLS before starting date PALS before starting date TNCC before starting date CPI before starting date NIHSS before starting date ENPC within 90 days of hire Must-Have: 2 years experience as a nurse with at least 1 year experience in an Emergency Department setting Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or high-volume Emergency Department Teamwork mentality Ability to coach and provide real-time feedback Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department Description: The Emergency Department has a total of 101 beds. Patient ratios are typically 4:1 for medical patients. On ED behavioral holds, ratios may increase to 7:1. Technicians are available to assist in the cardiac monitoring unit and internal processing area. Staff also includes unit clerks for day and night shifts. Key equipment includes Baxter pumps and GE monitors. The documentation system used is Cerner. Scheduling requires availability for every other weekend. Candidates must be open to floating within all sections of the Emergency Department. Patient experience standards require AIDET, respectful behavior, and clear communication with patients throughout their visit. The department is known for teamwork and a welcoming atmosphere. Staff enjoy serving a diverse community. The unit has received recognition for outstanding teamwork and service. This position is for contractor replacement.
