Description:
Position requires an RN specializing in the Emergency Room.
The patient care ratio is 1:4.
Candidates must have prior experience in an urban, Level I Trauma Emergency Department.
Experience in a teaching hospital is preferred.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.
Floating to other units may be necessary.
Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
TNCC and CPI certifications are preferred.
The charting system used is Epic.
Candidates should possess specific skills in areas such as abdominal pain, acute psychosis, trauma management, and emergency medications.
Experience with ventilated patients, intubation, IV management, and trauma care is essential.
Unit details indicate interdisciplinary support is available, including respiratory services and social services.
The unit treats patients across various age groups, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
