Job Title: Level 3 RN ER Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12.0 hours Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Oklahoma or Compact RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task Description: Providing emergency health care services to patients of all ages from minor medical injuries to accidents and trauma. Assess patients' clinical conditions, recognizing, identifying, and interpreting serious situations. Prioritize and immediately decide upon and take proper action in emergency situations when the physician is not immediately available. Operate and monitor general and specialized emergency care equipment such as infusion pumps, pulse oximeters, ventilators, and cardiac monitors. Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician, including medications and IV therapy that alter hemodynamic status, respiratory therapy, and mechanical ventilation. Record observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures administered, and the status of coordinated activities between nursing and other professional disciplines. Document specific health care requirements for patients and prepare written assignments for individual team members. Match the skills and abilities of staff to the care requirements of patients. Plan and develop care delivery and implementation of the plan while coordinating the documentation of care. Share responsibilities for sustaining adequate supplies and equipment as well as general upkeep of the unit. Preserve a safe environment. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential. Must meet pre-employment credentialing clearances such as background checks and drug screens. Ability to meet physical demands including standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
