Description:
Position available for an experienced Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room.
The candidate should be able to start as soon as possible.
Shifts consist of three 12-hour night shifts.
Candidates must have at least one year of nursing experience.
First-time travelers are accepted with at least one year of experience and Epic experience.
Weekend requirements include working every other weekend.
Floating to other similar units is required.
The facility sees about 170 patients daily, ranging in age from neonates to geriatrics.
It is recognized as a level 1 stroke and cardiac center, as well as a level III trauma center but functions as a level II.
The organization is the largest hospital in its region.
The facility utilizes Epic for charting.
Candidates may be expected to care for a maximum of four patients per nurse on night shifts.
The role includes managing various patient diagnoses and acute care needs.
The position requires strong skills in arterial line management, ventilator care, and IV sedation management.
Effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary support services are essential.
Candidates must commit to working three out of five major holidays.
References are required to demonstrate relevant experience in the recent past.
