Description:
1 Year of experience required.
Does not accept first-time travelers.
Unit involves caring for patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, weakness, and other emergent, urgent, and non-urgent conditions.
Experience with adult and pediatric patients is required, with approximately 20% of the cases involving pediatrics.
Required skills include chest tube set-up and care, TPA administration, and breathing treatments.
Additional skills needed are Trach care, RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation) drugs, and cardioversion/defibrillation.
Familiarity with cooling and warming blankets, LVAD, and Impella usage is required.
Ability to obtain a 12 lead EKG is necessary.
Trained in the use of rapid infusers is preferred.
Candidates may be expected to float between nearby facilities, and refusal to float may result in termination of assignment.
Candidates must have two references covering one year of experience within the last three years during the compliance process.
