Job Summary

This Registered Nurse position offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive nursing care within a long-term care facility in New Lisbon, Wisconsin. The role focuses on assisting with day-to-day nursing activities, ensuring the well-being and safety of residents.

The successful candidate will be responsible for patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and maintaining accurate resident records. This role requires a compassionate professional with exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and continuously monitor for changes in condition.
  • Administer medications accurately following the "5 Rights" of medication administration.
  • Perform wound care and assessments as clinically indicated.
  • Communicate significant changes in resident condition to physicians, families, and the healthcare team in a timely manner.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate resident records through meticulous charting and documentation.
  • Provide clinical leadership on the floor, assessing situations and directing care as needed.
  • Report any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
  • Collaborate with Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure prompt response to resident needs, including answering call lights.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • One (1) year of related Registered Nurse experience, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
