Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team in Lancaster, Ohio. This role involves providing comprehensive, patient-centered care within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, utilizing the full scope of the nursing process.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care for a diverse population presenting with various emergent conditions. This includes collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, educating patients and families, and ensuring adherence to established organizational policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient according to the nursing process and established care pathways.
- Provide high-quality patient care based on thorough assessment needs and an individualized plan of care.
- Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families/significant others from admission through the discharge process.
- Maintain thorough, concise, accurate, and legible documentation of the nursing process and patient care.
- Notify physicians promptly of pertinent observations and changes in patient status.
- Administer medications and perform treatments accurately and safely as prescribed.
- Implement physician orders precisely and in a timely manner.
- Accept responsibility for the direction of co-workers and delegation of appropriate tasks in the implementation of patient care.
- Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care and report any malfunctions to the appropriate department.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Previous nursing experience.

Licensing Requirements
