Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. This role is based in a dynamic 28-bed Emergency Department, designed to manage a diverse patient population with efficiency and expert care.
The department features 4 dedicated trauma bays, 2 specialized behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitor rooms, catering to a wide range of critical and acute conditions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high patient turnover environment that emphasizes teamwork and rapid assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with various emergency conditions, including trauma, cardiac events, and behavioral health crises.
- Conduct rapid and accurate patient assessments, prioritize interventions, and implement evidence-based care plans.
- Operate and monitor essential medical equipment relevant to emergency care, including cardiac monitors.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient management.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, adapting quickly to evolving patient needs and departmental demands.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Specialty experience in Emergency Room (ER) nursing.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
