Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Job Summary
Join a dynamic team as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse at a large, fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center in Cleveland, Ohio. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical care within a high-acuity environment, serving a diverse patient population ranging from infants to adults.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a challenging setting, delivering comprehensive emergency nursing care, including managing patients in ED hold (boarding) status, and collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, age-appropriate nursing care to emergency department patients (infant to adult).
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting.
- Manage and monitor patients in ED hold (boarding) status, ensuring continuity of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities in the electronic health record system.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department setting.
- Proficiency and experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.

Licensing Requirements
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
