Job Title: RN - Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. The shift required is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. No on-call requirements are expected. This unit has 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 Fast Track, and 5 behavioral health beds. There are 111 staff members on the unit, including day shift charge nurses, PCTs, paramedics, and LVNs. Night shift support mirrors the day shift staffing. Patient ratios are 1:4 for general emergency, 1:5 for behavioral health, and 1:3 for cardiac/trauma cases. Essential equipment utilized includes Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers. Candidates are preferred to have experience with Meditech, trauma, and inpatient care. Typical procedures performed include splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, and behavioral health de-escalation. The best personality fit for this position is a multitasker, team player, and self-starter. The required dress code is navy blue scrubs. Candidates will be expected to adhere to established policies and guidelines.
