Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required. License: Valid Michigan nursing license required. Certifications: Required - ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC. Must-Have: Conscious Sedation experience preferred. Description: This position offers an assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. The nurse will work a night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts. Full availability for the first two weeks of the assignment is necessary. Every other weekend availability is required. The nurse will not be required to float to other units. No call duty is expected for this position. The patient ratio is typically 1 RN to 5 patients. One of those patients is usually a low acuity bed. The medication system utilized is Pyrix. Documentation will be managed through the EPIC system. Travel experience is required. The patient demographic includes neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The unit experiences a daily census of around 150 patients, with about 160 visits per day. The nursing duties may involve handling various emergency conditions and critical care situations. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and social services. Unique patient diagnoses and special procedures may arise within the unit. Robust support systems and staffing are in place to ensure quality patient care.
