The position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience, particularly in a Level 1 Trauma setting. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC. ENPC, NIH, and CPI certifications are preferred. The nurse will be expected to work every other weekend and holidays as needed by the unit. Total patient ratios will typically be around 5 patients per nurse. No call or float requirements are associated with this position. Candidates must be prepared to begin their shift on time and ready for report. The unit provides care for a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, pharmacy, and social services. The daily census may reach up to 260 patients with a total of 59 beds available in the unit. All lab work should be scheduled with an ETA within 48-72 hours of contract signing.
