Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Experience with patient ratios of 1:4 - Ability to provide care in a general emergency department - Skills in IV therapy and respiratory management Description: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an emergency room setting. The nurse will assess and manage patients with various medical conditions. Care will be provided to adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The role requires proficient skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and medication administration. The nurse will manage emergency situations, including but not limited to acute psychosis and trauma care. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams will be essential for optimal patient outcomes. Participation in weekend shifts is required, covering every third weekend. Floating between departments may occur based on facility needs. This position emphasizes the importance of adhering to safety and isolation precautions.
