Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Compact or state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience - Patient Ratio Experience: 4 patients per RN - Charting System Experience: Epic Description: Please ensure the traveler is aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting the role, the unit manager may assign the traveler to an "Emergency Team." There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or to be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed for each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing the travel contract for this position, the traveler accepts the above and will report as assigned by the unit manager if an emergency event occurs. Travelers should not apply for this role if they are not comfortable with the above requirements. Candidates must be willing to work 2 of the 4 designated holiday periods annually: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Although Halloween is not a paid holiday, some units may require traveler coverage. Holiday assignments are based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation. A COVID-19 vaccine is required, with medical or religious exemptions only. A flu vaccine is also required, with medical or religious exemptions only. References are not required for submission; however, 2 Manager/Supervisor references will be necessary for clearance to start the contract. Charge nurses are not acceptable for this role. Applicants must ensure that their professional license is up to date. Resources who worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must be separated from the organization for one full year before they can return as travelers. Modules are billable and completed during orientation, factored into orientation hours.
