**Join Our Dynamic Emergency Department Team!** **Job Description:** - **Shift Details:** - 7A-7P, 13 Weeks Contract - **Unit Information:** - **Location:** 7101 SPID Corpus Christi, TX - **Floor:** ED 1st Floor - **Building:** Bay Area Emergency Department - **Number of Beds:** 16 with 8 hall chairs - **Team Size:** 6-7 staff per shift - **Staffing Structure:** - **Day Shift:** - 1 Charge Nurse - 1 Triage Nurse - 4-5 Nurses (including 1 mid-shift) - 1 Unit Secretary - 1-2 Technicians - **Night Shift:** - 1 Charge Nurse - 1 Triage Nurse - 4-5 Nurses (including 1 mid-shift) - 1 Unit Secretary (7 PM to midnight) - 1 Technician - **Patient Ratios:** - 1:4, primarily low acuity ESI 4 & 5, may take 6. - **Equipment & Technology:** - Cardiac Monitors - Baxter IV Pumps - HP’s - Tonopen and more - **EMR System:** Meditech with vital signs flowing into the chart - **Ideal Candidate Profile:** - **Must-Have Skills:** - Level II or Level III Trauma Experience - TNCC, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, BLS Certification - Strong attributes in Compassion, Urgency, and Teamwork - **Preferred Qualifications:** - CEN or TCRN Certification - CPI Training - Over two years of Emergency Department Experience - **Typical Procedures:** - Conduct assessments and documentation - Administer medications - Perform wound care and splinting - Insert IVs - Collect urine samples and perform lab draws - Care for patients ranging from ESI 5 through 1 - **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color: Royal Blue Preferred - Incorporate your favorite team's jersey during Sunday season events (e.g., Astro’s, Cowboys) - **Unit Policies:** - Attend mandatory shift huddles at 7 AM and 7 PM. - Complete EMTALA training – mandatory. - **Recognition & Achievements:** - Climbing the ranks in patient satisfaction and employee engagement - Providing timely care for Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Trauma patients - **Exciting Opportunity:** - Transitioning from a Level IV to a Level II trauma hospital – be part of a growing team! --- **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
