Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of ED experience required, No first-time travelers License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI required; TNCC preferred Must-Have: General ED skillset including cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with critical care drips, PIV starts, TNK/TPA administration, conscious sedation Description: Registered Nurse needed for the Emergency Department. The facility has 43 beds dedicated to Emergency services. The average daily census is approximately 145 patients. The patient population includes pediatric to geriatric patients. Common diagnoses include respiratory illness, stroke, behavioral health, acute myocardial infarction, and minor trauma. Patient admission rates are around 25-30%. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:3-4 based on patient acuity. Support staff includes clinical decision beds, behavioral health services, and a dedicated team of social workers and pharmacists. Technology used includes electronic medical records, IV pumps, medication dispensing systems, and patient monitoring systems. Nurses may be required to float to other facilities as needed.
