# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Central Texas

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Round Rock, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM, rotating weekends, no call requirement

Highlights:
  • 13-week contract in a busy, high-acuity emergency department with 48 private rooms and specialized care areas
  • Patient ratios: 1:4 general ED, 1:3 cardiac/trauma, 1:5 behavioral health
  • State-of-the-art equipment including Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers
  • MEDITECH EMR system in use
  • Comprehensive case mix including trauma, cardiac, behavioral health, and fast track services
  • Collaborative team environment with active unit-based council and social committee
Requirements:
  • Active Texas RN license or compact state license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification required
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Previous emergency department experience strongly preferred
  • Trauma experience highly preferred
  • MEDITECH EMR experience preferred
  • Inpatient holding experience a plus
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training preferred
