RN – Emergency Room (ER)

Job Description:
We are seeking experienced ER RNs for a fast-paced, 24-bed Emergency Department (including 4 behavioral health rooms and 2 critical care rooms) on a 13-week travel contract. This is a STEMI and Stroke receiving facility (no trauma designation), treating 70-80 patients/day with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. RNs will manage common drips (Levophed, Epi, Fentanyl, Propofol), draw their own labs, read their own telemetry strips (GE monitors), and may be required to perform Triage. The department has a separate Fast Track (9-chair vertical flow area) and Psych/seclusion rooms, with in-house security 24/7. This is not suited for a new ED nurse — candidates must be self-sufficient, comfortable in a high-acuity setting with fewer resources than large teaching/trauma facilities, and adept with EPIC.
