Description:
This position is for an experienced registered nurse in the emergency department.
The unit has a total of 24 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4.
There is one unit secretary available for 21 hours a day.
There are five registered nurses on core staffing from 10 AM to 10 PM.
The equipment in use includes a level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitor system, Arctic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps.
Documentation is performed through the Meditech system.
Scheduling will require working every third weekend with mid-shift hours, starting as early as 10 AM and as late as 1 PM to 1:30 AM.
Floating is rare, only occurring if other staff members have been flexed home.
Candidates must possess certifications including ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, and TNCC.
Preferred certifications include CPI, CEN, and TCRN.
Advanced skills in trauma and emergency care are necessary.
The dress code requires cobalt blue tops with solid black or cobalt blue pants and closed-toe shoes.
