TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Charlottesville, Virginia, 22903!

Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. - At least 1 year of experience in a Level 1 trauma facility or 2 years in a Level 2 trauma facility is required. - Experience with pediatric patients is required. License: - Active state license required before start date. Certifications: - ACLS - BLS - PALS - TNCC (must have by start date) Must-Have: - Experience in a Level 1 or 2 trauma center. - Charting experience with Epic required. Description: This position is for a registered nurse in the emergency department. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients in a fast-paced environment. Weekends and holidays will be required. Scheduled days may vary based on staffing needs. Must be able to float within the scope of practice as needed. Good communication skills are essential for this role. Candidates must provide proof of required certifications. All experience must meet the qualifications listed in the job description. The candidate will work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The daily census is around 165 visits per day. This role requires the ability to manage a patient ratio of 4 to 5 patients. The department treats a variety of diagnoses including trauma, stroke, and chest pain. Pediatric experience is necessary; however, it does not need to be from a dedicated pediatric ER. Candidates with pending licenses may be considered, but the license must be secured before beginning the position. Documentation of all certifications and references is required.
