Must-Have:
- Must have at least 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience or 2 years of Level 2 trauma experience.
- Must have pediatric experience, but it does not have to be in a dedicated pediatric ER.
- Experience with Epic charting system is required.
Description:
The position requires working nights for 36 or 48 hours per week.
Weekends will be required, with scheduled days varying based on staffing needs.
Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.
Guaranteed hours are not specified.
No block scheduling can be guaranteed.
Previous charge experience is preferred.
Patient ratios are approximately 4 to 5 patients per nurse.
The unit serves a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Daily census is approximately 165 visits, with 71 beds available.
The emergency department handles Level I trauma, comprehensive stroke, and chest pain cases.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy services.
Travelers must float within their scope of practice as needed.
Candidates should ensure all required certifications are submitted.
Background issues must be disclosed during the application process.
Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching a predetermined total assignment limit.
BSN is preferred.
Modules are non-billable, and the module time is included in non-billable orientation hours.
